Why “Do It Scared”?

“Do It Scared” is blog that explores the physical and psychological road blocks that artist and entrepreneurs face with trying to realize their goals.  The blocks often come in the form of other people, limiting beliefs, false projections and a host of other things.

DeAara Lewis is an American actress, writer, filmmaker, and producer currently based in Memphis, TN.  Since she was five years old, her dream was to write and perform.  When she became a teenager she became aware of the dismal reality for artist who go to Hollywood and decided that before embarking on that journey, she would learn how to produce the kind of work she wanted to perform so she would never have to be dependent on anyone else to provide her with work.

She further advanced her ambitions by learning not only how to market and promote her projects, but also study, understand and remove the psychological roadblocks in her life that stand in the way of not only living her dream as an actress, writer and producer but also having a balanced and healthy life.  In other words – learning to enjoy the ride!  Her dream is to inspire others to do the same.
