Hindsight is a bitch…the top 5 things I would do different…

As I get closer and closer to releasing the “Tricks” DVD, it seems more and more obstacles are starting to surface.  Some money that I was going to use to promote the DVD was closed by my bank, property taxes are due, I found out I owe some money to my real estate company and a shit load of other things.  Sometimes I do feel angry for not releasing “Tricks” sooner when I had more money.  Now I have to go shopping for new money and hopefully cheap money.  An investor sure would be great right now. That or the real estate market drasticlly turns around.  Thing is, I really never wanted to be a landlord, I was just too impatient when it came to selling houses and since I was in this solo, I made a lot of mistakes along the way.

My mother always says, “Hindsight is a bitch.”  Because boy! What I would have done different had I known then what I know now.  So for any filmmakers, real estate investors, entrepreneurs or just plain cool people – here are the top 5 things I would have done differently if I had known differently.

1. Real Estate – I would have been more patient and started off flipping property and not hold any.

2. Acting & Film -I would have stayed in Atlanta and finished school there and then moved to Los Angeles to get my Masters.

3. Had I gone to LA, I would have enrolled in USC’s popular Entreprenuer program and networked my ass off.

4. Did I mention, I would have networked my ass off earlier!!!

5. I still would have met and fell in love with the love of my life – Daniel.

So there you have it, the 5 things I would have done differently had I known.  However, things haven’t turned out so bad.  I’ve met a lot of cool people in my hometown who are passionate artist and we have sincere friendships.  I also became a much more progressive thinker and often times I think at home is where I was suppose to be because I have such a strong support system. Well, I am sleepy now, so I am going to take it to bed.  I will elaborate more on this tomorrow.  Chao!
